MMO soccer game for PC
Pro Soccer Online is a premium sports title for PC from developer Skywall Studios LLC. It's an online soccer game wherein players can match up against others in quick battles. There are two matchmaking options available, as well as global leaderboards and statistic-tracking features to encourage more competition to climb rankings.
Compared to other popular soccer games in the market today like eFootball 2023 or FIFA 23, Pro Soccer Online offers modest graphics and simple visuals. In exchange, it features physics-based gameplay mechanics, as well as a unique option that lets players switch between two perspectives as they play.
Shifting perspectives
As its name suggests, Pro Soccer Online focuses on online multiplayer gameplay, and you can choose between six-versus-six or three-versus-three for the built-in matchmaking system. As of this writing, there are four servers across regions, namely NA East (Ohio), SA East (Sao Paulo), EU Central (Frankfurt), and AS East (Seoul). You can also create and invite others to private custom lobbies that allow for full 11-versus-11 games.
It is being heralded as an input-driven soccer game, with physics that react to how you play. Its real stand-out feature, though, is its unique point-of-view(POV) system, which allows you to change between first-person and third-person perspectives. Jump to the former to get a more immersive feel, while switching to the latter to get a better view of the field.
You also get various player customization options to change the appearance of your characters, and let you design your own logo and other accessories you'll wear. A couple of things to note. The first is that the game is still in early access and second, it's quite hard to join games online and when you do, you have to contend with plenty of toxic players.
Plenty of potential
All in all, Pro Soccer Online is an interesting game with the potential to be great. It's not much to look at, but the switching perspectives and solid gameplay mechanics make for a fun and engaging time. Once its issues are ironed out, it will get even better. As it stands right now, it's still worth a look so try it out for yourself. Recommended.
